Hey guys,I'm kind of having a problem with my windows mail. when I try to delete my inbox, it says an unknown error has occured. when I try to look at the message, It says something like message cannot be displayed, and to check my computer for low memory or something like that. I'm running a windows vista machine. any help would be greatly appreciated. also, if there's any kind of different mail client I could use that is accessible, let me know please?
Hi,
to put this in outlook expressish, your database has been corrupted. Sadly, you will need to delete it. to do this, open windows explorer and go to computer, then your hard drive, then users, your user name, app data, Local, microsoft, windows mail and delete local folders and windows mail.msMessageStore.
Another accessible client is mozilla thunderbird, but never used it.
To posts 1-2.
I currently run Thunderbird under Windows XP Pro SP2, it works nicely with Jaws 7.
Its Version 2.0.0.14, latest as of today.
It works with GMail, hotmail, other isps, all but yahoo.
To get it to work with GMail, hotmail, you need the webmail addon.

I assume that you're running Vista with Jaws 9?
If so, unsure what the differences between the usefullness of Thunderbird under Jaws 7 and 9 are, sorry to say.
If you have a GMail account, use the IMap instead of POP, much better, imo, hth.
Ugh, I hate hotmail!!! I use gmail. I also use message rules, and windows mail didn't apply message rules to emails picked up with IMAP. Also maybe a day after I started using it it started saying the imap server returned an unknown greeting, and it won't connect.
Also isn't there a t-bird3 beta?
